The Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness degree program is made up of a combination of science, economics, agricultural economics and business courses. Graduates will understand the structure and organization of the agri-food sector and will possess business skills with particular application to the value-chain extending from farm inputs, through on-farm businesses, to processing, transportation, credit and marketing. The B.Sc.(Agbus) is comprised of a greater number of agriculture and science requirements than is typically found in a business program, but with a greater range of electives than found in the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree.
Course Identifier Change: In the fall of 2008 The Department of Agricultural Economics changed its name to the Department of Bioresource Policy, Business & Economics. As a result, the course identifier AGEC has changed to BPBE. So instead of looking up Agricultural Economics, look up Bioresource Policy, Business & Economics and then the course identifier BPBE.
